WAACKING

Waacking originally came in the 70s as gay people’s interpretation of Locking. It involves highly dynamic movements of the arms, which resemble the wrist roll in locking but more exaggerated and extended. This style of dance also incorporates sharp angular poses, which is called Vogueing, a style commonly done together with Waacking. Waacking is more frequently done by girls now and it can be danced to a wide genre of music from house to Hip Hop. This dance style is also commonly incorporated together with other forms of dance such as Locking and House.
Despite gaining popularity only in the recent years, waacking has established worldwide as an urban dance form. It is fun, cool, energetic and suitable for any dance enthusiast who wants to try something fresh.
